This tool converts between raw JSON and its escaped-string form โ the same transformation JSON.stringify() and JSON.parse() perform in code, done instantly in your browser. Stringify mode takes valid JSON and wraps it as an escaped string literal, with quotes and special characters properly escaped โ useful when you need to embed a JSON payload as a string value inside another JSON document, a config file, or a code snippet. Parse mode does the reverse: paste an escaped JSON string and get back clean, pretty-printed JSON. Both directions validate your input and give a clear error if something isn't valid JSON.
The Beautifier reformats JSON (indents it, supports comments). This tool converts between JSON and its escaped-string representation โ the shape you get from JSON.stringify() in code, and back.
It takes your JSON, converts it to compact text, then wraps that text as a JSON string literal โ adding surrounding quotes and escaping internal quotes and special characters, so the result is safe to embed inside another piece of JSON or code.
Parse mode expects a JSON string literal as input โ meaning it should be wrapped in quotes with escaped characters inside, like "{\"a\":1}". If you paste plain JSON like {"a":1} instead, use Stringify mode, not Parse.
